The brief

VFS Global and the Italian Consulate General in Casablanca announced support for emergency accommodation for Italian women facing violence and their children. We were asked to bring the announcement to Moroccan media in French and Arabic.

The subject required care, but the communication needed to be straightforward. Readers needed to understand who the accommodation was for, what the partnership involved and the support it was intended to provide. Our remit covered translation and media relations through to coverage reporting.

The guiding idea

Explain the partnership clearly in French and Arabic.

The approach

We kept the purpose of the initiative at the centre of the announcement. The consulate and VFS Global had distinct roles, and the French and Arabic versions needed to explain both without changing the meaning of the original material.

The local context mattered as much as the language. We prepared the announcement for Moroccan media while keeping the focus on the women and children the initiative was intended to support. The client and consulate’s approved information set the boundaries of what we could communicate.

The work

We adapted the announcement into French and Arabic and handled distribution and follow-up with Moroccan media. We worked with the client on the material and kept the outreach focused on the partnership’s purpose.

As coverage appeared, we monitored how outlets described the initiative and brought the reporting together for the client. Our work covered the full announcement, from preparing local-language material to following its reception in the press.

The outcome

The campaign’s coverage report records 16 publisher articles across French, Arabic and English-language editions. Outlets including La Quotidienne and Aujourd’hui le Maroc explained the emergency-accommodation initiative and the roles of the consulate and VFS Global.

For an international client communicating a local partnership, that coverage made the announcement accessible to readers across the country’s main media languages. Our role was to connect the approved information with those outlets through local-language preparation, outreach and follow-up.
